Kyambogo F.C upbeat ahead of Uganda Cup Last 8 Draws

Kampala regional side, Kyambogo Football Club, the only non top flight side remaining in this year’s edition of the Uganda Cup remains unfazed of which opponent they will be drawn against.
Kyambogo F.C team manager, Charles Ssemanda is well aware of the burden of expectations bestowed upon his team.
“I respect all the teams remaining in the cup but, we are not shaken by mere names. We shall give in our best, all the way” Ssemanda told Kawowo Sports in an exclusive interview.
The Banda based club has been the biggest revelation of the season thus far, eliminating Uganda Premier League table leaders, Vipers at the Round of 64, Rwenzori Big league favorites, The Saints F.C (Round of 32) and elite side, Sadolin Paints F.C (Round of 16).
Kyambogo University, KCC, SC Villa, Lweza, SC Victoria University, Bright Stars, Police and Jinja side, BUL F.C are the last 8 teams still in contention.
The quarter finals shall be held between 12th -19th April 2015. In case of a draw, the teams will play the extra-time and if the result still persists, then FIFA post match penalties will decide the fixture outcome.
Express F.C, the record cup winners (10 times) were ejected by Hoima side, Airtel F.C at the round of 64 while URA F.C, the defending champions were ejected at the round of 16 by KCC last week.
SC Villa and KCC have both won 8 titles apiece and are targeting a 9th crown.
The winner of the Uganda Cup qualifies to play in the CAF Confederations cup.
