URA injuries piling up ahead of Pirates clash | CAF Confederations Cup

It looks like Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) will field a not so strong side against Orlando Pirates on Saturday in the second leg of their CAF Confederations Cup.

Apart from having their leading marksman Robert Ssentongo suspended for the tie, URA are also hit by injuries.

Ssentogo is the leading scorer for 2015 Uganda Cup winners on the continent this term with three goals, all coming against Elgeco Plus in the first round of the preliminaries.

He scored a brace at home in the 3-2 triumph and the sole winner away in Madagascar before receiving matching orders.

Frank Kalanda who led the line for URA in the first leg has been down with malaria and has a 50-50 chance to start on Saturday.

Kalanda was also on the score sheet when URA defeated Elgeco Plus 3-2 at Namboole last month.

The other is Peter Lwasa who is nursing a bad ankle injury. Midfielder Oscar Agaba’s hamstring and defender Deo Othieno’s bad knee are also almost certain to rule the duo out.

“As of now, I really don’t see them making it. Let’s wait and see” Isabirye told supersport.com

URA needs a 1-0 victory to progress to the second round after losing the first game 2-1
